So it has been several months since i have updated my blog, and to those few followers (if there are any) I am sorry! School has been absolutely crazy and has been kicking my butt since the beginning of the semester. But luckily for me I have had a little bit of time lately to take pictures on the side. My friend and coworker just got engaged and had me take her engagements, and I will let you know that it was probably one of the most fun things I had done in a little while! Below are some of the pictures I have chosen to post on my page and I am happy to say that I will have more pictures of her to come because she is having me shoot the rest of her wedding pictures!! This week has been a crazy but awesome week. Its crazy cause I have been working like there is no tomorrow, but amazing because I got my very own wet dark room supply's!!! Long story short, I hope, my photo 2 teacher Craig Law is buying the house next to where I live. I saw him at the house one day and started talking to him, I asked him if he could help me start my own dark room so that I could develop my film and he agreed to. On Monday or Tuesday he came over and said that he had a bunch of dark room supply's that he wanted to give me, I just thought that he was talking about dark room supply's for me to develop my film. It turns out that he had a former student's mother, I guess who was also a former student, pass away and her family gave Craig all of her dark room supply. He told me that I could come over to his place any time and get it, so josh and I borrowed a car from a friend and picked up the supply's. I was amazed to find that I would be getting my very own enlarger, tray's to print pictures in, and a bunch of other stuff to help me print my own work!! All I need to do now is find filters for the enlarger and block the two windows in the extra room and I am set. Also, the UWRL (Utah Water Research Laboratory) is doing a project where they are gathering 1000 pictures of water and making it an educational screen saver that will be used for schools, universities, and government agencies. Yesterday I emailed the man that is heading the project and asked if he would allow me to help with this project and he said yes!! I get to take pictures, get all the info about the area I took them at and if they meet the requirements then I get payed for the pictures they use!! My name will be on the picture so I get all the credit. And if people are interested in my work then they can view my information on a page that is made for me and they can contact me!! I am so excited that I get to do this! All in all, this week has been great! I hope to give you all updates soon, but until then have a great weekend.

Here are the first of my summer pictures! I accidently deleted all my other ones on my camera before i downloaded them onto my computer! I am still really mad about that, ha. but there is still more summer to come, that is if it stays warm! So stay tuned for more pictures of my adventures!!

So I am a little tardy in uploading pictures, and for that I am sorry! Sadly I deleted all of my pictures on my camera after I uploaded them into my iPhoto and after I deleted them I realized that I didn't have enough space on there and it didn't save any pictures (very sad face). So I am really hoping to get some up ASAP! I am going to be taking some engagement pictures of a girl I used to work with, and so I am hoping to be able to put them up as soon as i get back from the photo shoot! Wish me luck! I also am hoping to put up some pictures of my niece Olivia and my nephew Brody and the newest addition Mackay! ( I hope I spelled that right ha). I will hopefully be able to take pictures of them this coming weekend! Also I hope to have some of my pictures I took for my photo class up. I am crossing my fingers to get all of this done with the busy schedule I have! Well I hope to have some new stuff for you guys to look at soon, but you will just have to wait until then!

Happy holidays everyone! Going home to visit family is one of my most favorite things ever! This christmas Josh and I went to my parents, so far it has been a lot of fun. Two nights ago my dad surprised us with a Wii!! It is so much fun to play, especially with my dad. Last night we played the Wii sports Boxing game. I am proud to say that I won, and because I was so set on winning I made myself very sore ha. We had our annual christmas eve feast, its pretty much thanks giving just on christmas eve. We woke up this morning and opened presents, it was fun to take pictures of my niece and nephew, I am hoping to get some pictures I took over christmas break up soon. My husband Josh is so great! he got me everything I wanted! Well as far as stocking stuffers goes. In November he got me my new Nikon D7000 for my christmas present. I got josh everything he wanted plus some cute little water frogs! I was so excited to get him those, though I really got them for me :) Well I have to go now, the family is playing some games and wants me to join, I will upload pictures as soon as I can.

So these are my first wedding pictures I have taken. These are from my brothers wedding that was in October. I believe I took these with my film Nikon D2020, it was given to me as a gift from a really good family friend. When we were at the temple waiting for my brother and sister in law to come out of the temple someone asked me if I was the photographer for their wedding group. It made me feel legit and it made my day ha! Sadly I was no ones photographer but I acted kind of like one, it was super fun. So here are the pictures hope you like them :D

Today was so amazing! I have no idea why it was so good, I had to wake up at 6 am so that I could get ready for work at 6:45 am. We got off work early, about 11:45 am instead of 12! hahaha i know early right? So after I got off work I went home, chilled and played on my computer for an hour or so then got dressed and went out to find me some new black pants for work. I hate looking for black pants cause they are very hard to find... well ones that I like and that look good on my anyways. After looking at a few places I decided to go to Wal-Mart and get a cool refreshing drink, this turned out to be a few packets of cool-aid and a pitcher so that I could go home and some Reese's pieces for josh. On my way to Papa Murphy's from the Transit Center I saw this man in a wheel chair on the side of the road pushing himself with his one good leg. It looked like he was having a difficult time and I was going the same direction he was going so I offered him some help and he said "sure I need to get up on the side walk". The sad thing is is the guy in the wheel chair was a little mentally handicapped and he was pushing himself around logan with one good leg and no help from anyone else or himself (his hands were curled up) in the middle of a hot summer day. He told me that he needed to go to Smith's Market place and I decided to push him there cause I was going to Papa Murphy's. His name was Deff, at least thats what he said ha. It was such a beautiful day today, not too hot but hot enough to be summer :) When I got home from my fun trip around Logan I made cool-aid, looked up what I needed to do to become an art major with an emphasis in photography, ate food and took a 2 1/2 hour nap :) It was a very good day. Now I am headed off to bed to finish off my fantastic day so I bid you all good night, spoki noki.

Good News

I am sure that everyone has heard the news that I am engaged, so I am sure that some of you are dying to hear how he did it. Well on May 16 (this was a sunday), Josh and I came back from church and were just sitting around my apartment wondering what to do when Josh had the great idea that we should go and take a walk around the Logan temple. He said he was going to go back to his place and change and he would let me change and pick me up. After I had changed I went outside to wait for josh and when he pulled up to my apartment I opened the door to his truck and noticed he was in his sunday clothes... I was in jeans and a T-shirt. Kind of embarrassed I ran back in and changed into a dress and ran back out to the truck. After driving to the temple we walked around the front for a few minutes while I took pictures of almost everything, we eventually made it around to the side of the temple and walked to the back of the temple where we walked on the grass hill. Of course Josh and I were holding hands, but as we were walking I noticed that he was kinda walking a little slower the more we walked, I thought this was weird but didn't think too much of it cause after all we were just walking around the temple grounds, we weren't speed walking in a marathon. When we were lined up with the center of the temple josh stopped, pulled my hand to turn me to face him and got down on one knee, he pulled the ring out of his shirt pocket (the ring wasn't in the box (; ) and asked me if I would like to marry him. A little stunned but sooooo excited, I said yes! He probably thought I didn't get what was happening but I knew! Hahaha I am not going to lie, at first I thought he was pulling a joke on me, don't know why but I thought he was joking around. It was so crazy, almost surreal. I didn't expect him to propose to me, but all the same I am sooo happy that he did. I couldn't stop smiling, and seeing a ring on my ring finger was very odd for me, especially one as beautiful as the one he picked out for me :) So now almost a month later I have picked out my cake, dress, colors, what the bridesmaids and groomsmen are going to wear, what the dads/ groom are wearing along with the moms, what we are going to have at our reception, what temple we are to get married in, when we will get married, and Josh and I have found a place to live. It seems like me and my mom have gotten a lot of things done but at the same time it feels like we have gotten nothing done! I hate that feeling! On Saturday the fiance and I are going to go to Salt Lake City to see if my tracer band for my ring is going to be finished, hopefully it is, i really wanna see the ring complete. I am also hoping that we can get his band inscribed, we will probably do something in Bulgarian, that will be fun :) well I think that is it, until next time,

random thoughts and updates

Well its about 1 am and I have just been sitting alone in my living room thinking about what i should do cause i dont want to go to bed and I realized that I havent updated my blog for a while! There hasnt been much to update on really, i have just been going to school and hanging out with friends, but I guess I will just share the little things that have happened. Me and Josh are going strong! I dont think that i have been so happy with anyone in my life than I am with josh :D its amazing! even when i have kinda a crapy day I still have Josh to go to and everything will be made better :) we just had spring break! it was super fun, me and Josh went to his parents place for the first part of the week. On wednesday we took my computer to the apple store at the gateway to get it checked out because it was randomly turning off on me. After we did that we went to lunch with his sister Sarah and after that me and Josh walked around temple square for about... oh maybe 6 or 7 hours. we got lots of cool pics. I was pretty proud of how my pics turned out! haha it was funny I was standing where the bride and groom get their pics taken right by the door where you come out of the Salt Lake temple and a lady asked if I was practicing for my bridals, i looked down when she asked this and was like nope! haha could have said it in a different way but oh well hahaha i thought it was funny that she asked that, me and Josh laughed about it. after walking around for a few hours we went and saw Alice in Wonderland with both of Josh's sisters Lisa and Sarah, it was pretty cool, I liked it haha we saw it in 3D. We went to a little pre-movie thing where we got to make our own little bag of candy, it was cool cause there were jars with all kinds of candy inside of them it was cool! And when we got to the theater they gave us free popcorn and drinks (this whole shindig was for lisa's work and so she got us tickets, it was fun!). on thursday Josh and I went to his cousins wedding lunch thing and also to the reception and also to his roommate James's reception hahaha, I have never been to two receptions in one day it was kinda crazy. but after the receptions we went to my parents place and on friday we picked aaron up from the airport! It was so good to see him! It was the first time Josh and aaron have met (obviously lol) and it went good he gave him a hug which i wasnt expecting but it was nice to see :) The rest of the week we chilled, but when we got back up to logan it got really crazy. I had my research paper for my Intro to Landscape Architect class that i hadnt started hahaha. It was really stressful but I got it done, all 1200 words (about 4 pg's worth, not too bad) and I am sooooo glad that it is over ha but I also had a 3 page paper that was due today (thurs) and that one was way easy. I have another 3 page paper that is due on monday but i want to get it done as soon as i can, like sat or sunday. Some sad news though, well it might not be for you but it is for me. I have a friend, Kolya (nick) sokoloff from Russia, who just informed me (well it was his status on facebook) that he is no longer a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. I think that yesterday was one of the sadest days I have had in a long while. I actually cried. Its kinda weird because i have never met Kolya yet I have cried because of the decision he has made, crazy. I hope things work out for him, i really do. Hmmm...what else...well i dont think that there is anything else to write so i am going to go to bed. Talk to you soon :)

Christmas break

Wow is all I can say about my christmas break. Where to begin is what I would say after wow. I guess I will start from the beginning ha, I come down from logan and am sitting in the kitchen alone cause mom and dad said that they were going to run to someone's house and that they would only be 15 minutes. That was a lie. They were gone for about an hour to an hour and a half. so I was just texting josh and said how bored I was and he said that he would come over and asked for my address. I was shocked ha I thought he was joking about coming over, but of course i gave him my address and when mom and dad came back i told them that josh was coming over. They had rented "Wolverine" and so josh watched it with us and after it was done he went back home. That was not the last of his visits, throughout the break he has come over probably almost every other day, some weeks almost every day. That is kinda crazy since it takes about 55 minutes to get to my place from his. Lucky for us we live across from each other in Logan. For our first date he took me snow boarding! I did soo good for my "first" time. I went like 5 years ago probably more. Christmas was fun, I got snow boots, the 5 hour long "Pride and Prejudice", a Barns and Noble gift card, $20, and the "New Moon" soundtrack. Then I bought myself a snow boarding coat which I love cause it is so cute and keeps me soo warm! Me and josh wen snow boarding again and this time I face planted it twice, did a penguin slide on my stomach 3-4 times, and did a cool little flip thing twice. It was awesome but not at the same time cause it hurt haha. I have had lots of fun playing with my niece and nephew Olivia and Brody, I freaking love those kids!! They are so funny! Well I guess all I have to tell is that me and josh are boyfriend girlfriend:) It slowly happened over the break and about 2 weeks after christmas we got together :)

Self Defense

So today was my R.A.D. (rape aggression defense) final. When i was walking to the gym where we were to do our simulations i was pumped ready to go, not nervous at all, but when i walked into the gym my heart started to race! I got so nervous because the first thing i saw was the little section where we were to defend ourselves, and then i saw two guys dressed up in these lobster looking outfits! hahaha they looked so funny! we sat down against the wall and filled out some paper work stuff and then got suited up. By then i was pumped and ready to kick some butt!! We did three different simulations, the first one we had to walk around until they grabbed our arm and we had to get away. The second simulation we pretended like we were at an ATM and they (all three instructors) attacked us. And the very last one we had to walk in with our eyes closed and all three of the instructors were standing around you taunting you and stuff, but we couldn't open our eyes or do anything until they grabbed you. You could feel them right in your face even though you had head gear on and a face guard. It was so crazy!! When I went in to the last one and was standing there, one of the instructors made kissing noises and another one said "hey she's cute". i didn't know where they were but i knew they were all around me. The third instructor was behind me and he bear hugged me and the other guys pushed us over making us fall on the ground i had to get the instructor that grabbed me to let go of me and then i had to get up and fight off the other two. just when i made one fall back one came up and started to attack me, sometimes two at the same time. When that happened one would grab me from behind and one would come from the front. Im not going to lie, its actually kinda scary to think about what happened. At the end we got to watch ourselves because they video recorded us and while we were watching the video, our instructor told us that the simulations that we did were as close to a sexual assault as you could get with out actually getting sexually assaulted. He also said that some of us may randomly start to cry and that is because that is our bodies way of dealing with what happened and what we went through in our simulations. I am so glad that i took this class! I highly recommend it to any and all women! I don't think that there has been any other time that i have felt so confident in my abilities to defend myself. I just hope that the rest of my finals will be as easy as my R.A.D. final was ha doubt that but there is always hope...

happy feelings and a great insight for me

so yesterday (Nov. 30) my apartment building had a hunger banquet. Our RA talked to us about people around the world who were dying of hunger and other things, but before she started everything she asked us who had fasted for 24 hours before the banquet and like usual people didn't fast. After our little presentation we got to eat pizza, salad and brownies and while we were eating me and kristen thought it would be a cool experience to fast for 24 hours. WOW can i tell you how hard it is right now?! we planned to fast from midnight to midnight, but i only got to 9 p.m. today (Dec 1) i got to 21 hours with out food and i could not handle it! The experience really made me think about how fortunate i am, even though i say i am poor and have nothing to eat i have always been able to find something to fill me up. I have seen how fortunate i really am and i am amazed at how well off i am! i am so grateful for everything i have. i can not even imagine what it would be like to go for days without food. But speaking of food! i came into my room today and stared to clean off my desk and saw that i had a slip of paper telling me that i had a package so i go over to merrill hall kind of confused but happy because i was getting something in the mail. Well not just something but a PACKAGE! i show the people at the front desk my slip and they hand me a box that was kind of heavy and i read the name of who sent it to me and it was Nan Stoddard! my roommates mom! hahaha i was kinda really confused about this so i went home and showed Dani what i got and she excitedly said for me to open it because she got a package in the same box as mind earlier today and so i got a knife and opened it! i was very surprised when i saw that the package had Lindor Truffles (my most favorite chocolates in the world!), peach rings, a chocolate orange, moon sand, lotion, body wash, and a little christmas tree ornament maker thing! i was sooo excited!!! i felt soo loved hahaha. it was so fun to get a package in the mail! THANKS NAN!! LOVE YA! :D

thanks giving weekend!

What a great thanks giving! The shooting was great, I actually got to shoot the 22 more than normal so i was super excited about that. I only was able to hit 1 of the 3 clay pigeons that were thrown up for me, I guess the 3 I hit last year was beginners luck hahaha its all good though i dont mind. The food was AMAZING!! no doubt about that! My mom's stuffing is the BEST EVER I freaking love it! I cant wait to go back home to Logan and share a little bit of it with my roommates and show them how amazing it really is hahaha, i just hope that they like it. Me, kimberly and a few other people are going to do some black friday shopping and i cannot wait for it! im soo excited! I only wish i had enough money for a new camera and an external hard drive for my computer. Kinda sucks but thats what happens when you dont get to work that much. Im going to ask for a new digital camera this christmas and just hope that I get one haha but if I dont get one this christmas then I will just save up and get one on my own. Well hopefully we are going to do puzzle races so i will write soon and hopefully post more pics of my great thanks giving weekend in Alpine
